The first response I seem to get from people when they find out that I am a Licensed Private Detective is ? Wow that is so cool or I’ve always wanted to be a Private Investigator?
That has to be so exciting!!!!!! . Is it like what you see on TV, etc.
Don’t get me wrong on what and why I am telling my story?
I do get good results and a good feeling of a job well done when I obtain results of people that are claiming to be injured or disabled, collecting workers compensation and getting
large settlements from our Insurance companies and the companies they claim they were injured at, when they are faking their injuries and working for another company or self
employed while claiming to be disabled, etc.
For example from my perspective of doing surveillance on hundreds of injury claims for the past several years, I have only observed one person that I believe was actually hurt
and deserved to be on disability and I am very thankful that we have programs to help the people that are truly hurt and in need of assistance. The rest of the cases I did surveillance
on turned out to be people that were faking their claimed injuries and performed a normal life style while at home and working other jobs, but when they had a medical appointment
or evaluation appointment, they would show up wearing neck braces, arms in a sling, walking with a cane, even using wheel chairs and could hardly walk. One person that claimed
to be totally disabled I did surveillance on and had me almost convinced he was really injured till I followed him to Church and I observed him carrying the collection plates,
laughing and walking around greeting the Church people and was obviously enjoying the fellowship of people that knew nothing of his so called disability? I could write a book on cases
such as this including cases of people from other countries that now know how to get on our welfare and disability benefit programs in which some I have done surveillance on people
that are in the United States on student visa programs and also on our disability programs.. ??? With this being the part of my story that keeps me dedicated to being a Private Detective,
Id like to share some of the real life areas and events of this career that is not quite so interesting!
After this event the man goes to a medical appointment, the doctor asks the disabled patient how he has been feeling ? The patient states that he is not doing well and having a very
difficult time keeping up with things?
I find that interesting due to the fact he really did have a difficult time running after his wheel chair with a bad back, sprained ankle and neck injury?
Also I feel really bad for the guys that are disabled at such a young age of early 20’s and are unable to drive, or unable to lift up their children and have to spend 40 hours a week
working out in the hot sun doing roofing jobs?
Let us not forget the people you see every day in your neighborhood or while you are out shopping that have to hold those heavy walking canes in one arm and several heavy
grocery bags in the other , because it is very difficult to keep the cane off the ground so it don’t get dirty or wet ?????
Seems like they would leave the cane in their vehicle or in their house?
Ah sorry I forgot they can’t they are disabled.
This is only part of the reasons why people that really need help and medical assistance, disability benefits and are actually disabled have such a difficult time getting benefits.
I am trying to do my best to change that and trust me I have alot of people that dont like me for busting their free rides on our benefit programs.
