Second Story Headline
Now for the real life events of a Private Investigator:
Read this carefully so you understand that I am not against our schools and colleges that offer classes for people to earn a degree in Criminal Justice
or a degree towards being a Private Investigator ?
I have personally helped a student that paid thousands of dollars to a online company that is highly recommended and excellent credibility with the degrees
they offer and present to their students.
My concern is that as I agreed to have a student work for my company as a externship student to finish the final requirement to achieve her degree
in Criminal Justice. The student had no knowledge of what a Private Investigator did, no knowledge of any of the procedures or equipment used,
no knowledge of how to perform actual surveillance, no knowledge of how to perform a background search, criminal check, etc. Am I missing
something here with the student having to pay out an amount around $ 30,000.00 for a online degree that gives out a piece of paper just because
of emailing information back to the online Supervisor assigned to the student? I spent 170 hours of training and presenting what a Private Investigator
,actually does and how procedures are executed in real life? My pay for this was $00000.00.
This is a true story not just my opinion just in case someone gets offended as I know someone will due to thinking I am trying to discourage people
from paying thousands of dollars to get a degree that helps them get a nice paying job then the company has to train the student to actually learn the
position for that career? Does anyone know if any of the college professor’s every actually been a Private Investigator, Police officer, crime scene
detective etc.? How does this work; from paper work, huge exams, final grades, thousands of dollars and just how does it prepare a student to know
how to actually be ready to do the job from their degree?
We need education for our children and our schools and colleges so our country and grow with new technology, especially when I stop at almost
any given party store or most low cost hotels and can’t understand the language of the owner of the store or motel? What’s wrong with that picture? !!!
The part that I really don’t get is this example:
Students that are paying and going to college to be a dentist , a doctor, a lawyer, etc,, they actually get hands on doing the actual dentist work on real
patients, etc,, so is there a actual on hands for students doing Private Investigation, Police work and the areas that a degree
in Criminal justice covers?
Are you aware of having to sit in a surveillance van for 8, 10, 12 and even sometimes 18 or more hours to do surveillance? Do you know that when
its 85 or 90 degree’s out in the summer that you have to sit with the windows closed or possible if you lucky you can have a window down about
a inch so someone don’t try to break into your vehicle and that it gets about 112 degrees or more inside the vehicle? Do you know that if people
see you are following them to get evidence they are faking a injury that they will follow you home, or try to run you off the road, and usually you are
sitting next to a drug house even though you are doing surveillance on a house 7 houses down the road? Are you aware of coming home after traveling
2 hours one way to a work location, working 10 hours, traveling back home 2 hours and then have to say hi to your family and sit down and do a
2hour report?
If the report don’t get done on time they deduct a certain amount from your paycheck? Have you ever tried to follow someone in today’s traffic with all the
road rage and keep up with them without them knowing your following them?
I have had drug dealers actually try to trap me at a gas station parking lot with 3 or 4 separate vehicles because they seen me getting video of drug dealing
of a father selling drugs with his 4 year old son in the vehicle? Can I ask if you learn that during your classes at College because I am very serious,
I’d like to know?
Have you ever went out in the winter time and sat in your vehicle when its 7 degree’s out for even 4 or 5 hours? Have you ever wondered how many miles
you have to put on a vehicle to be a Private Investigator and how often you have to buy a newer vehicle just to be able to do the job?
How do you feel about going to court and facing the people that find out you obtained video of them faking a injury and they lost what they thought would be
a 250,000.00 injury settlement?
This is just a taste of some things I thought someone might like to know before spending thousands of dollars to become a Private Investigator. I am
considering having real life classes on just this subject?
I believe you have a right to know and I believe I have a right of my own opinion on this subject?
